We’d hoped to bring you this, our second Studio edition, a lot sooner. We had our Linchpins lined up, their stories ready to be told.
So it’s fitting that regulatory red tape brought our Leadership edition to a halt. That, and the ease of doing business in a country that is anything but (easy). Our friend Murphy does love leaders, after all.
But here we are, a couple of months late, but just as excited to celebrate the kind of leaders we ourselves look to for direction. The ones who quietly and persistently make a dent in the world without even realising it.
Leaders who lead by example;
who listen more than they speak.
who hold space instead of holding court.
who teach by doing.
Each of our handpicked Linchpins shows that leadership is a daily choice; a type of principled perseverance.
Like Biju, who believes in growing organisations by growing the people in them. He shows us that leadership is about listening, learning, and evolving without diluting your principles,
like Dr Geoff, who says that if someone becomes a bit more thoughtful and human because of their time with you, that’s what matters,
like Priya, for whom leadership is more about mentoring than managing,
like Shubhangi, who reminds us that impact isn’t about what you’re doing, but who you’re being,
and like Renuu, who finds deep joy in watching the people she’s mentored go on to lead, take on bigger roles, and carry more responsibility.
Not every leader dreams of corner offices and headlines. Some, like our featured Linchpins, just want to do meaningful work and leave things better than they found them. Each one shows us that leadership doesn’t always look the way we’ve been taught to expect.
