Linchpin Vook now available!

Hold on to your seats – Seth Godin has recently released a Vook of the Linchpin!  For those who need to Google what a Vook is (I just did!) it is a material that integrates the text of a great book with high quality videos (video + book = vook). It includes text from the book plus original interviews with brave Linchpins from various fields (some he has mentioned in his book) such as Abbey Ryan and Ross Abrams, among others. 

The Linchpin Vook is available at iTunes for $14.99.

The wait is over!

It is finally here. Linchpin Magazine is now available to buy from MagCloud.

If you buy before July 13th and quote LINCHPIN, you get a 25% discount (which does not affect the amount of money that goes to our charity partner). We thank MagCloud for this kind gift.

This morning we got a message from MagCloud to say that they are expediting the proofing process, and are offering our community a 25% discount on the production price of the magazine. This means that even more money will go to our chosen charity, as MagCloud are reducing what they take to produce the magazine. The discount will only last until July 13th so we’ll need to be quick. As soon as the magazine is available on their website we’ll let you know.

Marketing Director Patty Tulloch said, “We are all fans of what your team is doing so wanted to help out anyway we can”.

Linchpins, it seems, are indeed everywhere.

Sorry we’ve been so quiet but we’ve been flat out getting the magazine in shape. On Friday afternoon the files were uploaded to MagCloud – just to got to wait on them now to make it available. We’re hopng that will be early next week once it’s been proofed. It looks fanstastic. Here’s a sneak preview of the cover.

The magazine will cost $15, of which just over $10 will go to MagCloud to produce it. The rest will go to your chosen charity Seeducation.org. It’s 52 pages of complete Linchpin awesomeness. Thanks to the many, many people who contributed from all accross the globe. What an amazing collection of people.

As soon as it’s available on MagCloud we’ll let you know. We can’t wait!!

Your Seat at the Meetup?

As a reminder, your video and/or photos will be used for a video that will show the range of people and meetings and ideas.

It can be just a few shots showing your neighbor linchpins being indispensable, a quote or two, or moments of brilliance in action. I hope we can see a variety of cultures to be reminded that linchpins are everywhere. Also looking for lizard footage!

I ask that you take care of legalities (i.e. please make sure you have permission to record/photograph people), and plan on sending me just your best material.

I will offer credit to everyone who submits material wether I use it or not. The final video will be featured here on Linchpin Magazine, and will also be posted on YouTube and Vimeo.

How to contribute to linchpin magazine

With only 4 days to go until the meet ups, I hope you’re already thinking about how you would like to contribute to the magazine.

To help get you inspired, we posted  some ideas to get your started.  Now it’s time to tell you how you should submit.

It’s simple:

1. Everything except video should be emailed to shipped@linchpinmagazine.com.
2. Video should be uploaded using a form that will be added to the video article here on Monday.

Please remember: you have 48 hours to send your contributions.

The shipped@linchpinmagazine.com email address will be closed at Midnight, PST (Pacific Standard time) on Wednesday June 16th. This is 7am GMT.

So that it’s completely fair, we won’t be making any exceptions to this. We’ll be really, really sorry not to be able to accept your contributions so please note that this is a HARD, NON NEGOTIABLE DEADLINE. We plan to ship.

Before you submit, please make sure you’ve read these pesky rules to make sure everything goes smoothly.

I can’t tell you how much we are looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Enjoy.
